About me
I’m Dr. George M. Tsoukas, an endocrinologist and the president of the Montreal Hellenic community. While medicine and community service are central to my life, I’m equally passionate about art. Born in Kastoria, Greece, I moved to Montreal at a young age, where my love for both science and creativity shaped my journey. Alongside my medical education, I earned a fine arts degree from McGill University, studying under the esteemed artist Adam Sheriff Scott, RCA.
Oil painting is my medium of choice—a way for me to capture and celebrate the beauty of nature. Inspired by my travels, my landscapes reflect the mood and essence of each place, whether it’s the serene coasts of Greece or the rolling hills of rural Canada. I enjoy working with rich, layered colors and exploring the interplay of light and shadow to evoke a sense of connection and emotion. To me, painting is not just about representing a scene; it’s about inviting viewers to feel the moment.
Balancing medicine, community leadership, and art keeps life dynamic, and my dedication to painting remains a constant source of joy. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see the world’s beauty in new ways, discovering the vibrancy and serenity that nature offers.
